Submission Guidelines:

• Any submission already published elsewhere is ineligible for publication at Blue Crystal. This includes any writing previously published on any book/printed media.If the work is found previously published, then it will be rejected immediately.
• For Flash Fiction/Non Fiction, you must submit no more than two pieces at a time.
• Word limit for each Flash Fiction/Non Fiction will be upto 4,000 words.
• For Short Story you can submit three Short Stories at a time.
• Word limit for each short story will be upto 4000 words.
• For poetry, you may submit up to three poems at a time.
• There is no limit of lines in case of poetry.
• For Drama, you can submit one Play with 100-200 pages approx.
• For Novel, you can submit one Work with 100-200 pages approx.
• For For Art Work & Photography.: Upto 5 Pieces at a time.
• Please format visual art/photography submissions as .jpg or .png files, preferably large format and high resolution. We need to see the original image file before any resizing / cropping / resolution changes / etc.
• For multiple pieces, please put the image files in a .zip folder and upload the folder, instead of multiple submissions or a PDF.
• Please use standard formatting guidelines. We prefer Times New Roman 12pt font, double-spaced for prose, and single-spaced for poetry.
• All submissions must be clearly titled and include word count.
• Contributors should not include their name or personal information on any part of the document itself.
• Include appropriate trigger warnings at the beginning of each piece.
• We will not consider work that centers either graphic violence or sex. We also will not tolerate work that promotes racism, homophobia, or other oppressive or hateful ideologies.
• All submissions must include a third-person biography, which will be reprinted in the magazine, should the work be accepted for publication. Include up to 100 words about your work, previous publications, and any other relevant information.
• Without Any Bio/Cover letter no submission will be accepted.
